Subsidy program for the purchase of electric vehicles and chargers.
The Greek government’s program for promoting electromobility and sustainable mobility.
The new subsidy program for electric vehicles “Move Electric 3” comes into effect on May 1, 2024, with a total budget of 33 million euros, which provides increased subsidy amounts for private consumers, which can reach up to 11,500 euros.
As for legal entities, the subsidy is reduced, as there are other tax benefits in this category. “Move Electric 3” also subsidizes electric two-wheelers-moto, electric bicycles, and microcars.
According to announcements from the political leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, on the occasion of the publication of the relevant JMD in the Government Gazette, the pilot operation of the platform (https://kinoumeilektrika3.gov.gr) begins tonight, where everyone can find the required documents needed to subsidize the purchase of an electric vehicle. By the end of the week, it will be fully operational, with applications submitted until April 30, 2025.
Key Points of the program:
Only one request is made by the citizen or business after the vehicle has been purchased or leased.
The natural or legal person submits electronically, a receipt or purchase invoice along with other supporting documents.
Based on this, they are automatically informed of the subsidy amount and additional subsidies for special categories (island, PwD, large family, youth).
With the digital application number, they enter a queue (first in – first served), while at the same time the subsidy amount they are entitled to is reserved.
Eligible expense date 1/5/2024 | Application submission until 30/4/2025
